Oh My God!
Can you open the gconf-editor,and change the value of “/apps/gnome-session/options/splash_image” to ‘/usr/share/pixmaps/splash/gnome-splash.png”?

Is there a list of features somewhere? I looked on the “about” page but I didn’t find anything. I’d like to check it out before downloading.

Hi
I installed ubuntu-tweak on Ubuntu 7.10 to test it out … the installation was no problem, but once I changed a few settings under the desktop tab my entire desktop vanished, it was just a black background. After unchecking all the boxes that I had checked, the correct desktop background image was displayed but no icons.
I was wondering is there any way to roll back to the setting prior to the installation of this software ?

hi, Krishroy.
I’m sorry that ubuntu tweak caused the problem.
I think you can do this to recover the desktop.
Make sure that the “Show Desktop Icons” is checked and the “Use Home Directory as Desktop” isn’t checked.
and logout and login.
I hope everything would be OK.
