Ubuntu Tweak 0.2.10 released!
March 12th, 2008 | by TualatriX |I’ve tested it for many times and several major translations are finished, so it’s time for releasing Ubuntu Tweak 0.2.10, with Power Scripts!
There’re 7 scripts in Ubuntu Tweak by default. I think the scripts will be helpful in your daily work.
So, Please Download or Update it!
Source Code:
ubuntu-tweak_0.2.10.orig.tar.gz
Deb package:
ubuntu-tweak_0.2.10-1~ppa1_all.deb
If you have added the repository, just “sudo apt-get update” and “sudo apt-get dist-upgrade”.
The screenshots aren’t fresh yet, I’ve posted it in Ubuntu Tweak with Power Scripts.
You may not satisfied with the 7 default scripts. I promise, in the 0.3 series, I’ll add more “power scripts”.
So…This time, I really go to write the 0.3 series! See you!

hi man, nice work!
how about a script to put a mp3 or a music file in the xmms playlist?

@Lee Jarratt:thanks for your spread.
@leandrox: if I know how to realize it, I’ll make it.

I don’t really see use for power scripts (yet).
I’d like to have some performance tweaks though - mostly, checks if the user enabled something by accident that can possibly slow down ubunu.
… like installing an apache server and then forgetting about it. Shh!

There is a mistake in the template for shell script
it is written #!/usr/bash
isn’t it #!/bin/bash
Anyway
Great Job

Another useful script could be right clicking a .bin file (such as padman installer), and choosing “run as root”, something I have been missing in Ubuntu.

Another could be mount .iso or .cue images!
check these: http://ubuntu.wordpress.com/2005/10/24/nautilus-script-to-mount-iso-files/

Hi.
I found a bug.
Under Desktop -> Desktop.
When I don’t want to show all symbols it’s okay, but than, when I want to show all symbols, nothing go on.
Only a restart of the system helps.
Bug or feature?!
By TualatriX on Mar 18, 2008 | Reply
@Vadim P: It is hard to implement. If I have some idea, I’ll consider to do it.
@snipe: Thanks. I’ll fix the scripts.
@Robvdl: Install the “nautilus-gksu” will implement this.
@leandrox: Thanks, the script is useful.
@Mkie: Nobody has the probelm of you. Can you tell me your system? Is it Ubuntu 7.10?
@Tim: This is not Ubuntu Tweak’s bug. It is the GNOME’s bug. So this option is hide by default.

Hey ! Very good job !
French translation seems to be very good too.
Just one problem with compiz fusion tweak.
I’ve this message(translated): “Sorry ! Ubuntu Tweak only supports Compiz Fusion 0.6.2″
I’m using beta Hardy and version of compiz sems to be 0.7.2.
Does it really impossible to supports the new version (not so different than previous)?
