Introduction

Dev Channel of Chromium for Ubuntu, matching the Google Chrome Dev Channel for Linux

This PPA is updated less frequently than the *daily PPA* but more frequently than the *beta channel PPA*

IMPORTANT: if you are already using the chromium *daily PPA* and are willing to switch to this one, you have to *remove/replace* the other one and *downgrade* chromium as the daily PPA always contains newer versions.
If you are using the *beta channel PPA*, this one will always be fresher and a simple upgrade is enough.

FAQ:
* To have a localized build (for non en-US users), please install chromium-browser-l10n
* To have the optional developer tools, please install chromium-browser-inspector
* For plugins, it is *no longer necessary* to pass --enable-plugins to Chromium. You should *not* have to create symlinks for the plugins either, the system and user plugins paths are explored by default. If it doesn't work as expected, please file a bug.
* To pass flags to Chromium, please don't tweak the launcher, but edit /etc/chromium-browser/default instead
* if the browser crashes, you can get a proper backtrace from gdb by installing the -dbg package. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Chromium/Debugging for further instructions.

This PPA is signed. You may want to add the corresponding GPG key to your apt keyring:
   sudo apt-key adv --recv-keys --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com 4E5E17B5
Starting to Karmic/9.10, adding the PPA and its key is as simple as:
   sudo add-apt-repository ppa:chromium-daily/dev
