Introduction

To use this repository in Ubuntu Karmic (9.10) simply open System → Administration → Software Source → Other Software Tab, click "Add" and enter
ppa:meerkat/stable

Alternatively open a terminal window and run
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:meerkat/stable

After adding the PPA repository you are able to install xsplash-background-settings through your package manager (e.g. synaptics) or from terminal by running
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install xsplash-background-settings

Now the package will be updated automatically whenever there is a new stable version available.
